Information for the Professional Community

Professionals in multiple fields of work including but not limited to: health care professionals, members of the clergy, law enforcement or court officials, educators, social workers, alcoholism counselors, therapists, and many others come into contact with problem drinkers in the course of their work.

Rochester Alcoholics Anonymous has a service committee available to provide professionals with information about Alcoholics Anonymous. One purpose of the committee is to inform the public, and professionals, about what A.A. is and what A.A. is not. We do this in a variety of ways, but most often by giving presentations about A.A.

Visit our Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI/CPC) page for more information and how to get in contact with the committee.

Additional information for Professionals can be found on the General Service Office (G.S.O.) of Alcoholics Anonymous website.
