Meeting Time: The 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at Central Office (1000 Elmwood Avenue)
What does the Nightwatch committee do? We ensure that when a sick and suffering alcoholic calls A.A. after hours, there is a sober member of A.A. to speak to them. The committee coordinates with A.A. groups, on a monthly basis, to answer phones when the Rochester Area intergroup’s Central Office is closed and provides a 12th Step Call education program to guide individuals on how to take 12th step calls after hours.
How do I get in touch with the Nightwatch committee? You can call our Central Office at (585) 232-6720 or send us an email at Office1@rochester-ny-aa.org. Our phone line is answered twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You will leave your contact information with whoever answers and they will forward that information on to the committee. Contact the committee chair at email@example.com.
What types of service work can A.A. members do at the Nightwatch? Committee members deliver presentations to A.A. groups about how they can take on Nightwatch duty and answers phones for a month, coordinate schedule for groups to take phones and maintain and distribute binders that groups need to take on night watch duty.
How You Can Grow Spiritually By Getting Involved:
