Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community (PI/CPC) Committee
Meeting Time: The 4th Thursday of the month at 6pm at Central Office (1000 Elmwood Avenue)
What does the PI/CPC committee do? We strive to inform the public, and professionals, about what A.A. is and what A.A.is not. We do this in a variety of ways, but most often by giving presentations about A.A., how to reach us, and how to help the alcoholic who is still suffering. We also provide A.A. pamphlets to our community at public libraries throughout Monroe County, attend local health fairs, and run public service announcements. These are only a few examples of the type of work we do and we are happy to accommodate other special requests.
How do I get in touch with the PI/CPC committee? You can call our Central Office at (585) 232-6720 or send us an email at email@example.com. Our phone line is answered twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You will leave your contact information with whoever answers and they will forward that information on to the committee. Contact the committee chair at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What types of service work can A.A. members do at the PI/CPC? Committee members deliver presentations, fill library racks with A.A. literature and brainstorm new ways to reach out to the community. We are currently working on preparing a packet of information for students who visit open A.A.meetings as part of a class assignment.
