Meeting Time: The second Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at Central Office (1000 Elmwood Avenue)
What does the Website committee do? The website committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the Rochester Area Intergroup website (www.rochester-ny-aa.org) so that A.A. members and the public can access up-to-date information about AA in the Rochester Area. This can range from updating the local A.A. meeting list and contact info to improving functionality on the site. The committee ensures the website complies with the Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and the General Service Conference guidelines.
How do I get in touch with the Website committee? You can call our Central Office at (585) 232-6720 or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our phone line is answered twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You will leave your contact information with whoever answers and they will forward that information on to the committee. Contact the committee chair at email@example.com.
What types of service work can A.A. members do at the Website committee? A.A. members who volunteer on the website committee can help with a variety of tasks associated with updating the website. This can include updating text and graphic content, changing backend coding, brainstorming ways to improve the site, testing, and interfacing with other committees. No technical skills are needed to join the committee!
